Biography
Established in New Hampshire during 1999, Roots of Creation emerged as a reggae-rock ensemble infused with messages of social and spiritual awareness. Under the guidance of Brett Wilson, who founded the group and handles vocals along with guitar, they ascended via festival scenes and jam band networks across New England, blending lively brass sections alongside dub, electronica, and vigorous guitar-driven sounds. Their rigorous touring pace by 2004 backed the launch of their initial album, The End of the Beginning. Renowned primarily for energetic performances onstage, Wilson alongside fellow members achieved recognition through concert recordings such as Live, Vol. 1 and 2, in addition to studio efforts including Livin' Free from 2016, which reached the top spot on Billboard's Reggae chart upon release. Honoring a major inspiration, they reimagined numerous Grateful Dead tracks through a dub lens, collaborating with Errol Brown, a former engineer for Bob Marley, to produce the 2018 album Grateful Dub: A Reggae Infused Tribute to the Grateful Dead.
