Blending post-rock's vast terrains with worldwide musical currents, Rose Windows leads audiences through extended, twisting, frequently psychedelic passages that explore overlooked corners of sound. Guitarist and songwriter Chris Cheveyo launched the Seattle outfit in 2010; as his expansive sonic ambitions developed, the roster grew to encompass singer Rabia Shaheen Qazi, keyboardist David Davila, guitarist Nils Petersen, bassist Richie Rekow, drummer Pat Schowe, and flautist Veronica Dye, supplying the group with a wide instrumental palette equal to the scale of their music. Work on a debut album began in 2012 alongside producer Randall Dunn and led to the 2013 appearance of The Sun Dogs on Sub Pop. A 7" single called "There Is a Light" followed in 2014, after which the band tracked its second album in Bogalusa, Louisiana, once more with Dunn at the helm. Early 2015 brought news of a self-titled follow-up due that May, but the group split before the record could be issued.
