Sally Taylor grew up immersed in rock & roll through her parents, the singer-songwriters James Taylor and Carly Simon. Joining forces with her three-piece band, she issued her first album, Tomboy Bride, in 1999 and spent that year completing three cross-country tours that encompassed more than 150 performances, among them shows alongside her parents and brother Ben Taylor.

She titled her second album, Apt. #6S, after the New York apartment she once shared with her mother and brought it out in September 2000. The record highlighted Taylor’s incisive songwriting and playful vocal delivery.
