Biography
Formed in Helsinki, Finland in 2007, the high-energy glam metal/hard rock quartet Santa Cruz originated with vocalist/guitarist Archie Kuosmanen and multi-instrumentalist Johnny Parkkonen. The group reached its four-piece configuration in 2009 through the inclusion of bassist Middy Toivonen and drummer Taz Fagerström, after which they issued the debut EP Anthems for the Young 'n' Restless and signed with Spinefarm Records. Their first full-length release on the label, Screaming for Adrenaline, appeared in 2013, while the self-titled follow-up arrived in 2015. Ahead of the November unveiling of their third studio album Bad Blood Rising, the band put out the singles "Young Blood Rising" and "River Phoenix" during the fall of 2017.
