Originating from Berlin, Santé aligns with an emerging wave of producers who place musical depth, technical ability and inventive flair ahead of repetitive, uninspired loops. Releases on his AVOTRE imprint display personality, charm and wit, attributes frequently missing from house music.

His own professional ascent has moved in tandem with the label’s growing stature. The achievements enabled AVOTRE, launched in 2012, to expand at remarkable speed and establish itself as a respected operation that regularly sells out at least two international showcase events per month while remaining the preferred destination for leading underground artists.

Two further House Lessons releases appeared in 2015, one by longtime associate Russ Yallop and the other by touring and production partner Sidney Charles. The House Lessons notion itself traces back to an early AVOTRE catalogue entry, AVTR003, Sidney Charles’ standout track of the identical title, which sparked a musical framework embraced by Santé and the entire AVOTRE roster.

The sequence reached its conclusion in February 2017 with Santé’s own House Lessons LP. The twelve-track conceptual album assembles collaborative pieces featuring influential house and techno figures including wAFF, Marshall Jefferson, Ann Saunderson and Solardo, among others.
