Paco Osuna crafts a style of minimal techno and tech-house that balances dancefloor energy with intricate sonic exploration. Born in Barcelona, the DJ and producer first gained notice spinning at the storied Ibizan venue Amnesia early in the 2000s and has since appeared at clubs and festivals worldwide. After issuing more than a dozen self-produced records, many through his own Shake and later Mindshake imprints, he made his Plus 8 debut with the 2007 EP Crazy. Additional output on that label paved the way for the 2014 album Long Play on Minus, another Richie Hawtin venture. He maintains ongoing residencies in both Ibiza and Miami while keeping Mindshake active through releases such as his 2022 EP Groove Bass and material from other artists.

Francisco Osuna launched his DJ career in Valencia during 1994. Shortly afterward he put out makina and progressive house tracks under various aliases. In 1999 Martin Ferrer invited him to become one of Amnesia’s resident DJs, marking Osuna’s initial trip to Ibiza and prompting a shift in both his mixing approach and career direction. He soon mixed several Amnesia Ibiza compilation CDs and increased his activity in the studio. Recording simply as Osuna, he issued a series of house cuts in the early 2000s, among them “I Can Feel My Blood Pumpin’” and “Me Vuelve Loca,” both of which landed on multiple compilations. In 2002 he launched Shake Records and began releasing techno under the name Paco Osuna; the label was renamed Mindshake Records in 2005. Its inaugural title was his own “Mindacid,” followed by “Move” in 2006, the same year he opened the Barcelona club Club4.

He joined the Plus 8 roster for Crazy in 2007, then delivered Orbeat in 2008 and Lemon Juice in 2009. The 2011 release Four featured the Arthur Russell-sampling track “Atopisimo,” after which came two Amigos EPs spotlighting joint work with Joseph Capriati, Alexi Delano, and Uner. Osuna took up a residency at Hawtin’s ENTER events, and his first full-length album, Long Play, appeared on Minus in 2014. In 2016 he affiliated with Marco Carola’s Music On organization, expanding his schedule of residencies and festival dates. He also curated Mindshake showcases during Miami Music Week and ADE Amsterdam. After a hiatus he returned with the 2020 EP Brain Bells and, two years later, Groove Bass alongside DJ Oliver, both issued on Mindshake.
