Hailing from Italy, Joseph Capriati receives acclaim for both his extended DJ performances and the crisp craftsmanship of his techno and house productions. After entering the scene in 2007, he has appeared at innumerable clubs and festivals across the globe while issuing dozens of recordings through imprints such as Drumcode and CLR. Although his individual tracks generally function as straightforward tech-house or minimal techno tools, his albums reveal broader range, encompassing the reflective downtempo and drum'n'bass material on 2010's Save My Soul as well as the garage house and Goa trance influences evident on selections from 2020's Metamorfosi.

Capriati first experimented with DJing during his preteen years, later frequenting raves and cultivating a deep interest in techno that shaped his path. He soon began creating original productions, placing 12"s on regional labels including Analytic Trail and Globox in 2007. Subsequent joint EPs with Rino Cerrone, Markantonio, and Uto Karem preceded his move to Adam Beyer's Drumcode and Chris Liebing's CLR by 2009. His first album, Save My Soul, surfaced in 2010 and showcased both energetic club cuts and more introspective downtempo pieces. As a DJ his profile expanded through constant international travel, shared headline appearances at clubs and festivals alongside Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, and Danny Tenaglia, and frequent 12-hour marathon sets.

His second album, Self Portrait, arrived in 2013; the CD edition included the documentary DVD Autoritratto. Between 2013 and 2016 he placed in Resident Advisor's Top 100 DJs polls, and in early 2015 he delivered Fabric 80 for the long-running mix series. In 2016 Capriati founded his own label, Redimension, whose initial two singles featured his collaborations with Beyer and Flavio Folco. Rilis Classics, his reworkings of material by Rino Cerrone, followed on the imprint in 2018. The third album, Metamorfosi, appeared in 2020 and contained contributions from house legends Louie Vega (Masters at Work), Byron Stingily (Ten City), and Eric Kupper.
