Sasquatch

In 2001, vocalist and guitarist Keith Gibbs joined bassist Clayton Charles and drummer Rick Ferrante to form the hard-rock outfit Sasquatch after the trio traded the frigid winters of Philadelphia and Detroit for the milder climate of Los Angeles, California. A stretch of steady club dates around town came next, and once the musicians had sharpened their edge by sharing bills with kindred retro-rock bands such as Nebula and Unida, they judged themselves prepared to storm the annual SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas. That showcase served as ideal preparation before the group entered the studio to cut its self-titled debut, released by Small Stone Records in August 2004.
