Nigerian vocalist, composer, and stage performer Seyi Vibez crafts polished, rhythm-driven Afro-pop laced with fuji elements. He first gained traction through multiple chart entries starting in 2019, issued his introductory full-length NSNV in 2021, and reached the summit of the Nigerian rankings with Billion Dollar Baby 2.0 during 2023. Additional projects surfaced that same year, among them Vibe Till Thy Kingdom Come, which edged toward amapiano pulses. The concise Loseyi Professor arrived in 2024.

Balogun Afolabi Oluwaloseyi entered the world in Ketu and spent his childhood in Ikorodu, another locale within Lagos State. He took up music-making in the middle of the 2010s, and his first recording under the Seyi Vibez name, “Anybody,” surfaced in 2019. He went on to solidify an Auto-Tune-saturated street-pop approach rooted in Nigerian fuji customs through further tracks such as “God Sent” and “Catalyst.” NSNV (No Seyi No Vibez) emerged in 2021, while Billion Dollar Baby, spotlighting the successful “Chance (Na Ham)” (which later earned an honor at the 16th annual Headies), came out in November 2022. The set drew praise, with observers crediting Vibez as the originator of Afro-Adura, a style fusing Afrobeats and street pop alongside Yoruban prayers. It entered the Nigerian chart at number two, and the ensuing expanded version, Billion Dollar Baby 2.0, ascended to the top spot, ultimately becoming the longest-running number-one album in Nigerian chart history.

Vibez sustained an intense output across 2023, opening the year with the EP Memory Card. June brought the album-length Vibe Till Thy Kingdom Come, which wove in amapiano, apala, and sakara textures. That release also led the charts, and an entirely separate full-length, Thy Kingdom Come, followed later the same month. He closed his standout 2023 by delivering the EP NAHAMciaga and the fittingly named “Man of the Year.” In 2024 he appeared on singles by Young Jonn, Muyeez, YXNG K.A., and Ayra Starr while putting out his own tracks that featured Tion Wayne, Bloody Civilian, and Tml Vibez. The seven-track Loseyi Professor reached listeners in July.
