Biography
Shari Ulrich first gained notice as a member of Pear of Pied Pumkin, performing alongside Rick Scott and Joe Mock. After three years with that ensemble she departed in 1976 to become a member of the Hometown Band. In 1978 she stepped away from the group and launched solo appearances at numerous folk festivals. Her debut album Long Nights arrived in 1980, followed by One Step Ahead the next year and Talk Around Town in 1982. During the period surrounding her stage collaboration with Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes, which later yielded a recording under the name UHF, she issued the albums Every Road in 1990 and Best of Shari Ulrich in 1991.
