Biography
As a teenager, Silentó emerged from Atlanta's underground rap scene during the opening months of 2015. His independently issued single "Watch Me," cut the prior December with Bola da Producer and dropped a month afterward, sparked countless user-generated dance clips by name-checking the whip, the nae nae, and the stanky leg. Within seven days the track logged more than two-and-a-half million U.S. streams, enough to land at number 33 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. The next week it debuted on the Hot 100 at number 86. By the close of April the rapper had secured a deal with the Capitol label.
