Biography
In spring 1989 the ska-punk sextet Skankin' Pickle assembled in San Francisco under the leadership of vocalist/saxophonist Mike "Bruce Lee" Park together with guitarist Lynette Knackstedt, bassist Ian Miller, trombonists Lars Nylander and Gerry Lundquist, and drummer Chuck Phelps. The musicians launched their own imprint, Dill Records, and put out a run of LPs that included 1991's Skafunkrastapunk and 1992's Sing Along with Skankin' Pickle, only to dissolve after issuing 1996's The Green Album. Park subsequently started the B. Lee Band and ran the Asian Man label.
