Biography
The alt-rock project Sons of the Sea arose from a partnership uniting Incubus frontman Brandon Boyd with producer and multi-instrumentalist Brendan O'Brien. Their first encounter occurred once O'Brien had produced several Incubus albums, among them the 2011 release If Not Now, When?, after which the two opted to compose material together. The resulting group fuses O'Brien's award-winning production with Boyd's soaring vocals into an eclectic alt-pop whirlwind. Sons of the Sea first surfaced in 2013 through the EP Compass and issued a self-titled album before the close of that year.
