Spagna

Known alternatively as Ivana Spagna, the Italian pop vocalist Spagna first gained traction on domestic charts in 1986 upon issuing the single "Easy Lady." Her breakthrough arrived the following year with the infectious hit "Call Me," which became her initial major success. That same year saw the appearance of her debut full-length Dedicated to the Moon, succeeded by You Are My Energy in 1988 and the U.S.-produced No Way Out three years later. For the 1994 Walt Disney film The Lion King, she delivered the Italian-language rendition of Elton John's "Circle of Life." Beginning in 1995, Spagna shifted to recording in her mother tongue, issuing Siamo in Due and then Lupi Solitari the next year.
