Biography
Stromba, distinct from the anabolic steroid sharing its name, brought together producers James Dyer and Tom Tyler with James McKechan contributing. Their association with Fat Cat began via the 1999 release Pinch 12", followed five years afterward by the album Tales from the Sitting Room. This effort incorporated numerous additional participants who supplied live elements such as trumpets, melodica, and accordion atop the core dub and downtempo grooves crafted by the producers. Beyond Stromba activities, Dyer operated DC Records as its driving force, Tyler issued material on the same imprint in his personal capacity, and McKechan appeared on Fat Cat using the alias Fonn.
