Biography
The Liverpool-based abstract avant-garde collective Super Numeri delves into a blend of experimental sounds and rock music, drawing connections to pioneering figures from the late 1960s and early 1970s such as Miles Davis and Can. Multi-instrumentalists Pop Levi, Karl Webb, and Snap Ant formed the group, collectively handling a dozen instruments that include everything from the Farfisa and kalimba to the viola and sitar. They brought on roughly ten additional musicians before capturing Great Aviaries, which Ninja Tune issued in 2003.
