Tankcsapda

One of Hungary’s most popular and influential hard rock acts, the power trio Tankcsapda began in 1989 as a punk outfit before folding in ingredients of heavy metal, thrash, and modern rock. During their early period the band remained largely underground, issuing a succession of albums on modest independent imprints. Their initial brush with wider recognition arrived in 1994 when the fourth release, Az Ember Tervez, earned gold status. Mainstream breakthrough followed in 2003 with Élni vagy Égni, which climbed to number one on the strength of the singles “Be Vagyok Rúgva” and “Örökké Tart.” Later albums such as Mindenki Vár Valamit (2006), Minden Jót (2009), and Igazi hiénák (2013) displayed a tougher sonic approach, culminating in 2016 with the ambitious documentary film and its companion soundtrack/concert album Három Rohadék Rockcsempész: A Huszonötödik.
