Biography
Linwood Bolton Sr., held in reverence, and his wife Leola Bolton raised a family of twenty children—eight sons and twelve daughters—guiding each one toward an understanding of divine glory. Five sons from that household later entered the ministry. Out of this lineage emerged the gospel ensemble known as the Bolton Brothers, whose members include Jerry, L.W. Jr., James, and Ray Bolton. The group delivered its first album, Live in Mobile, in 1996 on Blackberry Records, with video editions released alongside it. Two years afterward came the follow-up, Live in Mobile, Vol. 2, again on the same label and also issued in video form. Their third project, Revival in Atlanta, appeared in 2001. Tracks they have recorded encompass “Bless the Name of Jesus,” “Just to Know Him,” “Lord Done Delivered Me,” “If He Still Cares,” “Bring Your Burdens,” “Oh How I Love You,” “I Gave Up Everything,” “Will You Be Ready,” and “Let It Be Real.”
