Biography
In 1995 the Seattle-based Boss Martians introduced their '60s-influenced guitar pop with a self-titled debut album on Dionysus Records. Drawing additional inspiration from Paul Revere & the Raiders, the Beach Boys, the Trashmen, and the Astronauts, the band issued singles on multiple labels over the following years, then delivered their sophomore effort, 13 Evil Tales, in 1996. Only in the summer of 1998 did they first perform outside the United States, embarking on a European tour. Following the 2000 release Move, the group joined MuSick Recordings and issued Making the Rounds in 2002 and The Set-Up in 2004. The track "I Am Your Radio," taken from the latter album, captured the listener-voted "Coolest Song of the Year" honor on Little Steven's Underground Garage.
