Biography
The Briggs hail from Los Angeles and take their cue from foundational punk outfits including Cock Sparrer and the Clash. Brothers Joey LaRocca and Jason LaRocca share the lineup with drummer Chris X and bassist Ryan Roberts, the latter having stepped in for original member Duck Matthews. Because another act already used the name I Decline, the group adopted its present moniker instead. Their debut arrived as the independent release Is This What You Believe? in 2001. In 2003 they followed with Numbers, produced by Duane Peters of U.S. Bombs and issued on his Disaster label. After signing with SideOneDummy, an intervening EP set the stage for Back to Higher Ground, which appeared in September 2006. Along with slots on the Vans Warped Tour, the band has shared bills with like-minded punk acts such as Flogging Molly and the Casualties.
