Formed in Glasgow, Scotland during 2005, the Hedrons delivered a ferocious strain of post-punk that channeled the unvarnished aggression of the Ramones, the Runaways, and the Stooges. Bassist Gill, guitarist Rosie, drummer Soup, and vocalist Tippi launched straight into recording, issuing their debut single “Be My Friend” through the Scottish independent Measured Records in July 2006. That track climbed to the Top 20 on the U.K. indie singles chart, while the October follow-up “I Need You” advanced even further into the Top Five. Momentum held through 2007 when “Heatseeker” secured yet another Top Five placing. Early single success, paired with appearances at T in the Park and Download at Donington, generated widespread attention both domestically and overseas, allowing the February 2007 release of their first album, One More Won't Kill Us, to land inside the indie album Top 40. Shortly afterward the quartet crossed the Atlantic for the first time, performing at Austin’s South by Southwest festival and Canadian Music Week while also playing well-received shows in New York and California.
