Biography
The dance-rock outfit the Photo Atlas, based in Denver, Colorado, layers falsetto vocals over propulsive dance rhythms in the vein of the Rapture or Hot Hot Heat. Alan Andrews supplies vocals and guitar, Bill Threlkeld III handles guitar, Mark Hawkins plays bass, and Devon Shirley covers drums and sampling. Morning After Records released the band's debut album, No, Not Me, Never, before Island subsidiary Stolen Transmission added them to its roster for a March 2007 re-release. The group has appeared live with Alkaline Trio, These Arms Are Snakes, the Thermals, the Appleseed Cast, and Unwritten Law.
