Biography
Formed in 2001, the Polish pop/R&B outfit Sistars remained active for roughly five years. Their debut full-length, Sila Siostr (Sister Power), arrived in 2003 and proved commercially successful, though it was not the first recording to feature the group. Fronted by sisters Natalia and Paulina Przybysz, the members had already contributed to a track by rapper Tede prior to the album’s release. The complete lineup, which also included producers and songwriters Bartek Królik and Marek Piotrowski alongside the Przybysz siblings, was finalized before that 2003 project reached stores. An EP followed in 2004, and the hit album A.E.I.O.U. appeared the next year. Over the course of their career the group collected multiple awards, yet they disbanded shortly afterward. In 2007 the posthumous greatest-hits set Best of Sistars was issued and reached the Top Ten in Poland.
