Biography
In the late 1990s, Jeffrop Baron, Chris Ziter, and Sasha Bell of The Essex Green joined Mike Barrett and Zachary Ward to create the Sixth Great Lake. The project reflected the musicians’ shared interest in rich reveries, narrative elements, and immersive textures rooted in natural settings. Their first album, Up the Country, appeared in early 2001.
