Third Eye Blind, the alt-rock band from California, gained recognition for their bright and melodic approach that blends post-grunge elements with classic pop and rock influences. In 1997, their initial single "Semi-Charmed Life" reached the Top Ten, propelling their self-titled debut album to the 25th position on the Billboard 200 chart. Building on this momentum, they issued Blue in 1999 and Out of the Vein in 2003, both of which maintained a presence on the Alternative charts while producing tracks such as "Anything," "Never Let You Go," and "Blinded (When I See You)." Following a hiatus in the mid-2000s, the group reemerged with Ursa Major in 2009, which attained the third spot on the Billboard 200, and followed that with Dopamine in 2015, landing in the Top 20. Expanding their musical palette further, Third Eye Blind collaborated with Billy Corgan for the 2019 release Screamer and joined forces with Bethany Consentino of Best Coast for a track on their 2021 album Our Bande Apart.

The band originated in 1993 in San Francisco, where frontman Stephan Jenkins first established himself as a solo artist subsequent to obtaining his degree in English from the University of California at Berkeley.
