Biography
Thomas Blondet, performing under the alias DJ Tom B, crafts downtempo productions in Washington, D.C., blending breakbeat, house, Latin, and reggae influences into his adaptable sound. He built his initial reputation as DJ Tom B inside the city’s club circuit throughout the 1990s. Once the new millennium arrived, he began issuing original material through Rhythm & Culture Recordings. The label carried his European Coaster in 2005, Echo Chamber in 2006, and No Dibby Dibby Sound in 2008. He launched his own imprint, 202 Digital, the same year and used it to distribute MP3 EPs from both himself and additional artists. The catalog on 202 Digital featured Put Me on a Train and Collaborations, each appearing in 2006.
