Biography
Hailing from Barcelona, the politically charged garage punk outfit Tokyo Sex Destruction takes cues from acts such as the Make-Up, Nation of Ulysses, and International Noise Conspiracy, with MC5 serving as a primary influence. Comprising JC Sinclair on drums, vocals, and organ, SF Sinclair handling bass and vocals, along with guitarists and vocalists RR Sinclair and RJ Sinclair, the four-piece adopted their shared last name in homage to John Sinclair, who managed the iconic MC5 and established the White Panther Party. After cultivating an audience across Europe, the band brought their high-energy sound to American shores via their debut album Le Red Soul Communitte, issued by Dim Mak during the spring of 2003.
