Biography

Emerging into the world as Vincent Chong Ying Cern on September 30, 1979, the artist known as Vince or Vincent built his career as a Malaysian-based pop singer after securing victory on the reality talent competition Akademi Fantasia. His first album, Janji Vince, reached listeners in 2004, followed the next year by the full-length project Vince. Percayalah Sayang, a compilation, surfaced in 2007. That same year, apart from the hits release, Chong landed two roles in spinoffs tied to the Disney television movie High School Musical, performing Malaysian versions of songs from the soundtrack.
