Von Thronstahl

Critics have at times faulted the Klumb brothers—Josef Maria Klumb and Bernhard Klumb—of Von Thronstahl for perspectives that edge toward proto-fascism. The siblings began their joint musical efforts in 1995. Their goal was to shape an aural environment bound to what they described as a "real European heritage," prompting the release of their earliest recording, the 10" Sturmzeit, in 1998. Across the following decade or so, Von Thronstahl issued a modest number of further works. Among them were the full-length albums Imperium Internum in 2000, E Pluribus Unum in 2001, and Bellum, Sacrum Bellum!? in 2003, as well as assorted mini-CDs and CD box sets, including Sacrificare in 2007 and Germanium Metallicum in 2009.
