Vypsana fixa

Drawing inspiration from American alternative guitar rock acts including Sonic Youth, Nirvana, and the Pixies, as well as British rock legends such as the Beatles and Blur, Vypsana Fixa originated in the Czech Republic in 1995. After issuing four demo recordings, the group obtained a more official recording contract and delivered its first full-length album, Brutální Vsechno (Everything Brutal), through BMG in 2001. The follow-up, Bestiálne Stastní (Beastly Happy), arrived in 2003. Leveraging those early accomplishments, the band issued both a live CD and a live DVD in 2006. Later, Mardi, Meyla, Mejn, and Pitrs unveiled their fourth album, Fenomén, on the Sony imprint in 2007; the release became a major success, ascending to the summit of the Czech album charts.
