Chinaski

The Czech ensemble Chinaski, initially performing under the moniker Stary Hadry, formed in 1987. In 1994 they adopted their current name to pay tribute to the author Charles Bukowski. That same year marked the release of their debut record, simply titled Chinaski. As a groove-oriented rock outfit, the group enjoyed a successful and productive run in the Czech Republic, where their 2007 album 7 reached the number one position on the charts.
