Emerging victorious from the third season of France's The Voice: La Plus Belle Voix, Kendji Girac distinguishes himself as an ardent vocalist whose sound fuses Latin-tinged pop, dance rhythms, and modern flamenco. He entered the world in Bergerac, France, during 1996 and earned his spot on the program by delivering Maître Gims' track "Bella." Aligned with the team led by singer and coach Mika, the young performer quickly captured widespread support and ultimately claimed the top spot in January 2014 on the strength of 51 percent of the public vote. In the wake of that triumph he issued his self-titled debut EP. By August 2014 Girac had unveiled his first full-length effort, Kendji, which spotlighted the tracks "Color Gitano," "Andalouse," "Elle M'a Aimé," "Cool," and "Je M'abandonne." The album commanded the summit of the French charts for ten weeks across the close of 2014 and the opening months of 2015.
