Slimane

Emerging as a passionate vocalist blending French-Algerian heritage with pop and R&B sensibilities, Slimane achieved prominence through his victory in the fifth season of The Voice: La Plus Belle Vox during 2016. His rendition of Vitaa's "À Fleur de Toi" became a successful track, and his initial full-length release, A Bout de Reves from 2016, ascended to the summit of the French, Belgian, and Swiss album rankings. Continuing his popularity on the charts within France, he secured positions in the upper echelons with Solune in 2018, the collaborative VersuS alongside Vitaa from 2019, and Chroniques d'un Cupidon in 2022. Early in 2023, the standalone track "Mon Amour" marked his initial effort toward representing France at the Eurovision Song Contest the next year.

Slimane Nebchi entered the world in Chelles, Seine-et-Marne, France, during 1989, and spent his formative years in the eastern suburbs of Paris prior to relocating to Les Lilas. Crafting original material and sharing it online initially, he gained early visibility by participating in the seventh edition of Nouvelle Star back in 2009 without advancing. He attempted again in 2011 via The X-Factor, later featuring in Encore Une Chance, and issued his debut EP, Tourne le Monde, that same year.

Reappearing on television in 2016 for The Voice: La Plus Belle Vox, Slimane's performance of Vitaa's "À Fleur de Toi" prompted all judges to select him. Following his series win, he inked a contract with Universal, leading to multiple single releases including the aforementioned cover, and shortly thereafter the launch of A Bout de Reves, which dominated the specified national charts. His second album, Solune, arrived in 2018 and reached the top spot in France while yielding the tracks "J'en suis là," "Viens on s'aime," and "Luna" featuring Boostee. Reuniting with Vitaa for the 2019 project VersuS, which also claimed number one positions across France, Switzerland, and Belgium with support from cuts like "Ça va ça vient" and "Avant toi," the effort subsequently prompted VersuS II. During 2022, Slimane joined Dadju on Gims' "Belle," achieving a Top 40 placement in France, before his fourth studio effort, Chroniques d'un Cupidon, once more led the charts in France, Belgium, and Switzerland, incorporating additional Top 40 entries "La Recette" and "Des milliers de je t'aime." The independent single "Mon Amour" surfaced in 2023, attaining a peak of number 26 domestically and securing France's participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024.
