Biography
June 16, 1979, marks the birth of Emmanuel Moire in Mans, France. Music held him in its grip from childhood onward. His twin brother matched that passion, prompting the pair to craft their own compositions while reworking pieces from the traditional French canon as they acquired skills on piano and in vocal performance. Formal university training in music followed, after which graduation brought an invitation to Astaffort, the intensive program centered on songwriting and stage delivery. There he immersed himself in piano and vocal technique, appearing often in live settings. The year 2004 brought an offer to portray Louis XIV in the musical comedy Le Roi Soleil. The production enjoyed an extended engagement that concluded in January 2006, achieved widespread national success, issued a popular soundtrack album, and catapulted Moire to instant fame. Once the run ended, he turned at once to recording his first album, which appeared in November 2006 under the title La Ou Je Pars. French listeners responded warmly, and the track “Le Sourire” entered Billboard’s European Hot 100. Moire continues to sustain an active concert calendar that supports his independent recording work.
