Biography
War Tapes, an angst-ridden indie rock outfit based in Los Angeles, produce intense and moody post-punk anthems reminiscent of Joy Division, Echo & the Bunnymen, Interpol, and the Cure. Comprising frontman Neil Popkin, known for his charismatic and theatrical presence, along with bassist Becca Popkin, guitarist Matt Bennett, and drummer William Mohler, the group has performed alongside Smashing Pumpkins and the Bravery while releasing a self-produced independent EP.
