Biography
Emerging from Florida as one of the Wu-Tang Clan’s affiliate outfits, the Watchmen took shape once BlackMask devised a collective modeled after the Wu. BlackMask assembled the roster by enlisting rappers 7th Sign, Prox, the Cipher, and Pro, then aligned with manager John “Mook” Gibbons, cousin to Wu-Tang leader RZA. The resulting 2010 releases included the single “Banga” and a partnership with unofficial Wu member Cappadonna on “Assassins,” issued together with the group’s debut album Wu-Tang Management Presents: Watchmen.
