The Holloways, a quartet consisting of Alfie Jackson on vocals and guitar, Rob Skipper also handling vocals and guitar, Bryn Fowler on bass, and Dave Danger behind the drums, embody a rabble-rousing rock spirit. Having come together in the autumn of 2004, these lively musicians adopted their moniker from the rundown north London area surrounding the Nambucca music club, the venue that first united the aspiring artists. Blending the cheerful pop elements reminiscent of the Rumble Strips with the intoxicated rock & roll energy of the Libertines, they forged a distinctive and catchy guitar pop style all their own. Their initial release, "Two Left Feet," arrived during the summer of 2006 and secured a position in the U.K. Top 40. October saw the emergence of their pop-punk track "Generator," which became another charting success and fueled anticipation for the full-length album So This Is Great Britain?. In December, they embarked on U.K. performances alongside Babyshambles.
