Milburn

Formed in Sheffield, England, the rock outfit Milburn issued their first record, Well Well Well, during 2006. The lineup consisted of Joe Carnall handling vocals and bass, Louis Carnall on vocals and guitar, Joe Green behind the drums, and Tom Rowley on guitar; these longtime friends rapidly gained recognition by filling concert halls and appearing at historic spots like the Cavern Club and the Garage while opening for prominent British act Arctic Monkeys. After putting out a pair of indie singles, they secured a contract with Mercury Records. Their initial album reached position 32 in the rankings, setting the stage for extensive live work and the creation of their follow-up LP, These Are the Facts. Beyond issuing that sophomore effort, the group stayed active throughout 2007 with additional tours and more single releases.
