Originating from Pomona, California streets, Young Drummer Boy channels that environment in his work. Functioning as both rapper and producer—sometimes credited simply as Drummer Boy—he entered the music scene during the late 2000s, crafting material that pulls from earlier eras, among them vintage G-funk, while staying connected to current sounds. His mixtape catalog features Reverse Psychology, Barjud Ave., High Forever, and Str8 Out tha 9, the final three arriving in 2017.
