Lil Cuete

Hailing from Norwalk, California, where he spent his formative years, rapper Lil Cuete has issued a string of albums centered on Surenos along with additional facets of Los Angeles gang culture. His introduction to the scene arrived in 2002 via the project There's Only One Way About It, which included the cut "Soldier Ready for Death," followed two years later by the second album The Unforgettable. Veteran MC Mr. Capone-E appeared as a guest on 2005's Walk with Me, while Bizzy Bone from Bone Thugs-N-Harmony lent his presence to the 2006 effort The #1 Gun. Mr. Criminal and Fingaz contributed repeatedly to the 2008 release Still Walkin', after which the thematic focus shifted toward romance on the 2009 set Love Jamz. Both the mixtape Dia de Los Muertos Mix and the album The One and Only surfaced in 2010, with Stay Out My Way arriving the next year and featuring "I Still Pack Guns." Love Jamz, Vol. 2 came out in 2012 alongside the more gang-focused Gunplay, and the 2013 anthology Rider Classics compiled street tracks such as "So You Wanna Be a Gangsta," "Die Tonite," and "Bullet Holes." Do It Right also appeared that year, succeeded in 2016 by Young OG, which included a guest spot from Baby Bash. East Side Records served as the label for every one of these projects.
