Yovie Widianto

Born on January 21, 1968, in Jakarta, Indonesia, Yovie Widianto gained prominence as the leader of the pop outfits Kahitna and Yovie & Nuno. Serving as pianist and keyboardist while directing the groups, he further built a reputation as a skilled songwriter and producer. Kahitna was established by him in 1986, and under his guidance the ensemble secured widespread popularity across the 1990s and later years through multiple successful albums. After 2000 he issued several solo projects alongside those efforts. He launched Yovie & the Nuno in 2001 while keeping Kahitna intact. With the arrival of the 2007 album The Special One the ensemble adopted the name Yovie & Nuno, which delivered the major hit "Menjaga Hati."
