Biography
Formed in Detroit as an AOR outfit, 707 counted Phil Bryant on bass and vocals, Jim McClarty on drums, Duke McFadden on keyboards and vocals, Kevin Russell on guitars and vocals, and David Carr on piano among its first roster, though personnel shifted for every subsequent release. Casablanca inked the group, which then issued a self-titled debut that spawned the modest radio success “I Could Be Good for You,” credited to McFadden and McCarty. The Second Album arrived in 1981 and Megaforce followed in 1982, yet 707 failed to build on its signature track.
