9mm

Not to be confused with the Swiss rapper sharing the moniker, 9MM operate as a straightforward rock & roll unit whose boisterous heavy metal approach has earned them the label of Germany’s counterpart to Motörhead. Also operating under the name 9MM Assi Rock 'n' Roll, the group—frontman Rock Rotten, guitarist Ritchie, bassist Maubi, and drummer Angel—came together in Hanau during the mid-2000s. They went on to open for Slayer, Grave Digger, and Subway to Sally ahead of issuing their first album, Fegefeuer, in 2008, followed by the second album, Quo Vadis, the next year. After appearing at major European rock festivals such as Rock am Ring, Wacken Open Air, and Rock im Park, the band put out Champagner, Koks und Nutten in 2010 and their fourth release, Dem Teufel ein Gebet, in 2011.
