Adrenaline Mob emerged in 2011 as a hard-hitting heavy metal outfit built around drummer Mike Portnoy (Dream Theater, Avenged Sevenfold), guitarists Mike Orlando (Sonic Stomp) and Rich Ward (Stuck Mojo), vocalist Russell Allen (Symphony X), and bassist Paul DiLeo. Their melodic yet direct style drew immediate parallels to Black Label Society, Hellyeah, and Disturbed. The self-titled debut EP arrived that same year and included a version of Black Sabbath’s “Mob Rules.” Full-length debut Omertá appeared the next year. In 2013 Portnoy departed over scheduling conflicts and was succeeded by Twisted Sister’s A.J. Pero, whose first recording with the band was 2014’s Men of Honor. Subsequent personnel shifts included the sudden loss of Pero, who suffered a fatal heart attack while touring in 2015. Two years afterward the group issued its third studio album, We the People, featuring original members Mike Orlando and Russell Allen alongside bassist David Zablidowsky and drummer Jordan Cannata.
