Biography
Aetherius Obscuritas operates as a one-man black metal project led by Hungarian vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Arkhorrl, born Vágvölgyi Viktor. Arkhorrl founded the endeavor in 2002 and issued two early demos, Világra Jött in 2003 and Sötét Prófécia in 2004, setting a fiercely underground course shaped by controversial Scandinavian black metal acts including Burzum, Ragnarok, and Ancient. That same year brought the band's first full-length release, Az Éjszaka Császára, which was followed by Kínzó Harag in 2005, Layae Bölcsõje in 2006, and Víziók in 2007, the last of these substituting studio drummer Zson for the drum machine used on prior recordings.
