Biography
Originating from Malaysia, the hip-hop quartet Ahli Fiqir—comprising Dayat, Daly, Samsol the Tukangkata, and DJ Cza—differentiated themselves from fellow acts in the style by electing to deliver their rhymes in Malay rather than English across both projects. Their opening release, Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah (rendered in English as "Today in History"), appeared in 2005, with the sophomore album Rap Untuk Rakyat ("Rap for the Masses") arriving two years afterward. Several honors, among them Best New Artist at the Anugerah Planet Musik Awards in 2006, acknowledged the strength of that debut.
