Formed in Malaysia, the hip-hop duo Too Phat consisted of Joe Flizzow, born Johan Ishak in Kuala Lumpur on October 16, 1979, alongside Malique Ibrahim, who entered the world in Johore Bahru on August 21, 1977. Their partnership began during the late 1990s, resulting in initial singles by 1999. These efforts developed into the album Plan B, which achieved significant success domestically and paved the way for an enduring professional path. Following the 2005 release Rebirth into Reality, the group issued several compilations while Flizzow established Kartel Records. Under this imprint, he launched his solo endeavors via the 2008 project The President. Despite earlier speculation about Malique Ibrahim's retirement from music, he was in fact preparing his own album, tentatively called OK.
