Biography
Born on Long Island in 1954, Billy and Bobby Alessi entered the world as identical twins. Their first chart appearance arrived in 1977 when “Oh Lori” reached number seven in the U.K. Five years afterward, in 1982, “Put Away Your Love” climbed to number 71 on the U.S. charts. The separate peaks left the brothers with one-hit-wonder status on each side of the Atlantic, each nation recognizing them for a different song.
