German EDM producer and DJ Alle Farben built a strong presence across Europe through multiple Top 10 pop successes and frequent appearances at major festivals. After focusing on minimal tech-house productions and sets near the start of the 2010s, he embraced a vocal-driven dance-pop direction for his first full-length release, the 2014 album Synesthesia: I Think in Colours. Several of his tracks earned platinum status in Germany and gold certifications in Austria or Switzerland, among them the 2014 single “She Moves (Far Away)” featuring Graham Candy and the 2016 single “Please Tell Rosie” featuring Younotus.
Born in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district, Frans Zimmer began performing as a DJ in local clubs and bars during 2009. He first operated under the moniker Hundert Farben before adopting the name Alle Farben. Starting in 2012 he issued tech-house material on the German imprint Kallias, including the EPs Sailorman and Galant. The track “Tempelhof,” drawn from an influential performance at the city’s former Tempelhof Airport, appeared in 2013. Synesthesia: I Think in Colours came out via the Sony-distributed label B1 Recordings that same year, and “She Moves (Far Away)” reached the German Top 10.
In 2015 Alle Farben joined Younotus on Anna Naklab’s version of “Supergirl,” originally recorded by the German band Reamonn; the cover achieved widespread European success and surpassed the sales of the source recording. His sophomore album, Music Is My Best Friend, arrived in 2016, with both “Please Tell Rosie” featuring Younotus and “Bad Ideas” landing inside the Top 10 in Germany and Austria. Further singles followed, such as 2017’s “Little Hollywood” with Janieck Devy and 2018’s “Fading” with Ilira. The James Blunt collaboration “Walk Away” served as the lead-in to his third album, Sticker on My Suitcase, which surfaced in 2019.
