As a longstanding resident DJ for Belgium’s Tomorrowland EDM festival, Yves V crafts productions that range from progressive house to boisterous, high-energy electro-house. His early underground releases, including the 2009 track “Insane Pressure,” paved the way for a decade of partnerships with artists such as Sander van Doorn and Chuckie, culminating in his first U.K. pop-chart entry, the 2019 single “We Got That Cool” featuring Afrojack and Icona Pop.
Born in Antwerp, he made his Tomorrowland debut in 2007 and has remained a regular presence at the event. Tracks began appearing under his name in 2008, with both “The Skillz” and “Insane Pressure” issued on Belgian House Mafia the following year. In 2011 he paired with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike for “Madagascar” and with Basto! for “CloudBreaker,” after which further collaborations with Sander van Doorn, Blasterjaxx, and Bassjackers emerged. He placed numerous singles on Spinnin’ Records, Doorn Records, and Smash the House while appearing at venues and events worldwide, among them Pacha, Amnesia, and Mysteryland. In 2015 he was placed at number 34 in the DJ Mag Top 100. Subsequent releases that gained wide streaming attention included 2017’s “Blow,” made with Marc Benjamin, and 2018’s “Innocent,” recorded with Alok and featuring Gavin James, before “We Got That Cool” brought him onto the U.K. singles chart for the first time.
